Setting up Facebook Business Manager

Setting up the Facebook business manager allows you to have more control over the ad account and business pages, especially if you manage more than one. It also allows you to give access to partners like EmberTribe.

 

 

Step 1: Create a business manager account by following this link and clicking ‘create business’. The primary admin user will need to do this by entering an email address and verifying their identity with their Facebook account.

Step 2: If you have an existing ad account and FB page, you’ll need to claim both properties in the Business Manager. From your Business Manger, click “Business Settings” in the left hand column.

Step 3: In the left column click “Ad Accounts” then “+ Add”. From there select “Add an Ad Account”.

Step 4: Enter the ad account ID, then click “Add Ad Account”.

Step 5. Do the same for your business Facebook page by clicking on the flag icon that says “Pages” and repeating steps 2 - 4.

Step 1: From your Business Manager, click “Business Settings” in the left hand column.

Step 2: Click on the Ad Account Icon and find the ad account you want EmberTribe to access.

Step 3: Click on “Assign Partners”.

Step 4: Choose “Business ID”.

Step 5: Add our business manager ID: 1734887433398895 and toggle for admin access.

Step 6: Click “Next” and we’ll take it from there.

Facebook Page Permission

Step 1: From your Business Manager, click “Business Settings” in the left hand column.

Step 2: Click on the Pages Icon and find the Page you want us to access.

Step 3: Click on “Assign Partners”.

Step 4: Choose “Business ID”.

Step 5: Add our business manager ID: 1734887433398895 and toggle for admin access.

Step 6: Click “Next” and we’ll take it from there.

Creating a New Product Catalog

Step 1: From your Business Manager, click “Business Settings” in the left hand column.

Step 2: Click on “Catalogs.”

Step 3: Click “Add” and then select “Create a New Catalog.”

Step 4: Create your product catalog’s name and set the type to “Products.”

Step 5: Assign yourself admin access.

Step 6: Next, you’ll want to connect your catalog with your pixel. To do this click “Associate Sources”.

Step 7: Find your pixel in the list and toggle connection on. Click save.

Product Catalog Permission

Step 1: After setting up your product catalog, you can then give access to view or edit the catalog.

Step 2: Click “Assign Partner.”

Step 3: Click “Business ID.”

Step 4: Add our business manager ID: 1734887433398895 and make sure the role is set to “Manage Catalog.”

Step 5: Click next and we’ll take it from there.

Google Ads Client ID

 

Step 1: Go to google.com/ads

Step 2: Find your Client ID in the top right-hand corner of the page by the settings. It will be in xxx-xxx-xxxx format.

Step 3: Send us your Client ID, and we will send you an invite for you to approve us as a manager of that account.

Accepting Google Adwords Access

 

Step 1: You will receive an email notification once we have requested access to your Google Adwords account using your Google ID

Step 2: Click “Accept Request”

Step 3: You will be taken to Google Ads where you can click “Accept”.

Step 4: A pop-up will confirm you want to grant EmberTribe access.

Step 5: Once you grant access you will receive a confirmation email.

Google Analytics Permission

 

Step 1: Go to your Analytics page and click on “Admin.”

Step 2: Underneath “Account,” click on “User Management”

Step 3: Click on the blue "+" in the top right of the screen.

Step 4: Add sem@embertribe.com as user.

Step 5: Check all the boxes to allow permissions for “Edit,” “Collaborate,” and “Read & Analyze”.
