Sr. Growth Specialist

Note: this position will start contract, with the goal of vetting/training and eventually hiring the right candidate.


You’re an expert on Google Ads - from setting up SKAGs in Search to optimizing complex Shopping campaigns, you’re game to use scripts & rules to the best of their ability, but happy to tackle manual adjustments when it’s called for (and you know when that is).

You’re also an expert at Facebook advertising – you understand how to consistently test dozens of ads and audiences at the same time, focusing on the KPIs that count at every phase. You’re always looking for the latest edge in the Facebook AI – from CBO on the bidding side to IG Story carousels on the creative side – and then you know how to interpret and explain your tests to your client (or boss).

  • Develop and optimize paid acquisition campaigns on platforms such as (but not limited to) Google & Bing, Amazon, Facebook & Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, Taboola & Outbrain
  • Provide regular insight into campaign performance with an ability to go “beyond the metrics” and give analysis that business leaders can understand & appreciate
  • Execute thorough analysis on competitors (activities, messaging, offers) and prospect customers (interests, pain points, demographics) for the purpose of launching and optimizing better campaigns
  • Own the top-down strategy for multiple platforms per client, holistically mapping the appropriate offers and messaging to audiences in different stages of the acquisition funnel
  • Drive creation of top-tier ads in a variety of formats (text, video, GIF, responsive), either by hands-on manipulation or managing other creative executors
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve campaign performance with complementary efforts (landing pages, email drips, onboarding improvements, etc.) that can be communicated to the client as a value-add or upsell
  • Provide peer support and insight for other Growth Specialists in a consultative capacity to help their accounts perform better


  • Unafraid of failure, doesn’t feel the need to spin/obfuscate struggling campaigns to keep clients “in the dark”
  • Tenaciously curious; constantly asking “why?” and seeking new tests, new answers, new ways of solving problems
  • A proactive communicator, prompt to keep teammates and clients “in the know” without needing to be asked
  • A lifetime learner, in pursuit of new information and challenges from a variety of sources to enrich their skillset and experiences


  • Experience managing both large ($30k+ monthly) and small ($3k monthly) budgets
  • Proven track record of scaling ad spend and results
  • Have worked in multiple business types (e-commerce, SaaS, leadgen, local)
  • Have prior agency experience
  • Comfortable directly interfacing with clients
