Boosting Conversion Rates while also increasing AOV

For WLP we saw the opportunity to increase their conversion rate since it was at a 0.82%

To improve this we gathered a list of optimizations to be done on their site:

  • Change the shop menu dropdown to include the options: Best Sellers, Apple Sauce, Baby Snacks, in order to give all users a better and smoother experience.
  • Added bold upsell app
  • Added Instafeed for customers and influencer testimonials
  • Changed the order of products to have the best selling bundles first with the high price points
  • New Regenerative Agriculture page under about tab
  • Add Glyphosate Residue Free logo on all pages
  • Added trust badges on the checkout page

The overall strategy was to tweak the site in order to offer all users a better experience while showcasing WLP products in the best way possible, giving the most exposure to best selling items and special collections they specifically wanted to promote. This also shortens the consumer journey and allows the user to immediately purchase what they saw in the ad and allows them to make an upsell. With these changes we get a quicker conversion of the user while also obtaining a higher AOV.

Adding the instafeed, the regenerative agriculture page under “About”, Glyphosate Residue Free logo on all pages and the trust badges on the checkout page also improved the overall experience of the customers by providing sufficient content that gives all the needed information and confidence to trust in the company and the products. This results in a lower bounce rate and even if users don’t convert right away, with this experience they’ll convert easily if retargeted.

The result of all these changes that were made over a 3-month time period:

  • An increase in conversion rate of 67%. The site CVR went from 0.82% to 1.38%.
  • An increase in AOV of 13% from $75.47 to $85.
